He holds postgraduate degrees in Law and Business Administration and is retained by several organizations as an external counsel. He rose to the position of Company Secretary/Legal Adviser in Trust Bank now Sterling Bank and was also a lecturer in Business Law & Commercial Practice prior to joining Solomon, Balogun & Co. He is a member of several professional bodies including the Nigerian Bar Association.

Mrs Akin-Williams is an experienced banker and  at various times held the post of Head Legal, Head of Corporate Banking and later Head of Credit Management at a frontline bank in Nigeria.
